Unique story

At the beginning of June 2019 Get in the Loop handed over all Hurricane’s Management’s online assets to their new internal marketing team. They have since then, redesigned the website, branding, social media and email marketing.

Famous for our flame grilled steaks and ribs, Hurricane’s Grill & Bar steakhouses are well-known worldwide. The Hurricane’s brand spans 24 years with our first Sydney steakhouse opening in Roscoe Street, Bondi Beach in 1995.

Get in the Loop worked predominantly with Hurricane’s Management’s Marketing Director for 22 years. We created their first website in 1997 and managed all their online assets. Our responsibilities included:

  • the design, development and management of all their websites
    – the original Hurricane’s Grill (Bondi Beach, Darling Harbour, Top Ryde)
    – Hurricane’s Grill & Bar (Bondi Beach, Top Ryde, Narellan, Surfers Paradise)

  • establishing their online presence on social media, google, third party directories
  • introducing and working with tourism organisations and media partners
  • creating and managing their email marketing
  • managing all online customer enquiries on multiple social media platform

eCommerce website

In 2015, it became more viable from a brand and technical perspective to consolidate all Hurricane’s individual restaurant websites and functionality into a single WordPress site. This included:

  • individual landing pages for each restaurant, eCommerce and gift card functionality
  • enquiry forms for private functions, Christmas & NYE parties, careers, group bookings, general enquiries with multiple fields and in-house recipients

Simple elegant design with eCommerce functionality: The creative brief focused on bringing the look and feel into alignment with the newly renovated restaurants. Emphasis was on keeping the site simple and elegant, showcasing the menu, reservations, online bookings, restaurant locations, gift vouchers, home delivery services and the latest promotions and events.

The website was responsive with content and functionality adapting seamlessly from a desktop layout to all types of mobile devices. All eCommerce transactions (booking form deposits and gift cards) took place on the website with integration into the client’s multiple bank accounts via SecurePay Australia.
