takeaway store

business website

Hurricane’s Express Bondi Beach was part of the Hurricane’s Grill & Bar Steakhouse Restaurant group. It opened in 2005 as a stand-alone takeaway store with a web page initially on the main company website.

Customers from all over Sydney could order restaurant-quality flame-grilled ribs, steaks, and burgers for store pick up, either in person or over the phone.

Get in the Loop designed a new website for Hurricane’s Express Bondi Beach in 2012 using the WordPress framework.

The website showcased the takeaway menu, location, contact details, and news blog. Multiple photographic shoots captured Australia’s famous Bondi Beach and Hurricane’s famous menu.

Customers were able to view the store menu online and order takeaway food by phone. Special promotions kept the website content fresh and regularly updated.

Over eight years the Get in the Loop team was responsible for creating all online marketing content. We managed all social pages, email marketing, Facebook customer requests, and feedback until the store closed in 2019.

special notes

In 2013 Hurricane’s Express wanted to free up its phone lines and increase customer satisfaction by reducing waiting times when ordering takeaways. They also wanted to introduce a local home delivery service.

Get in the Loop recommended OrderUp, a company specialising in online ordering systems for restaurateurs.

We worked closely with OrderUp and designed the look and feel for the eCommerce mobile-friendly website.

Our focus was on the user experience and interface. The menu had multiple food combinations, and we wanted to make it easy for customers to order.

The online ordering system proved to be a success with store pick-up and home delivery customers. They found the website easy to use, responsive and secure. With the latter encouraging repeat orders. Sales increased exponentially over the first six months
